This is a view of one of the volcanoes that boarder Lake Atitlan. The pool was shaped as a dolphine-incredibly elaborate for the area, but there was no water in it. haha. Beautiful regardless.
We were at an old hospital that had been destroyed & abandoned after a mudslide came down a mountain, killed thousands of people in 2005. The children and those who lived from the catastrophe currently live in plastic huts about one mile away.
This is Lake Atitlan. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
These lovely ladies live in the village that we stayed in this year. They were excited about destroying a Barney pinata in 5 minutes.
This is Carmelina. We were riding in the back of a truck through a part of the country to get gas. It was so much fun.
